Dear Hildie:

 

Okay, three masses for your soul. I’ll pay for them, but which church? Roman Catholic or Anglican, or does it matter? As for me, when I predecease you,

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying,

And I am dead, as dead I well may be,

You will find the place where I am lying,

And kneel and say an “Ave” there for me.

 

You can also hire a piper, about whom more tomorrow.
